PRINCIPAL'S REFLECTION - Mr. David J. DiPippa
Saint Leo the Great School was named as one of the Top 100 schools in Virginia by the Johns Hopkins University for Talented Youth. The rankings are based on the annual TerraNova Testing, a nationally based assessment exam given each year in all Diocesan schools. Schools in the Top 100 have a significant number of students who scored above the 95th percentile on the test. Students with the highest scores, particularly those who excelled in mathematics and language arts, are invited to take further tests to qualify for additional educational summer or a extra-curricular program. Congratulations to our outstanding faculty who have prepared our students so well. Thank you parents for your support of Catholic education as we continue to help the children grow in grace and wisdom.

The TerraNova Standardized Test Results were mailed home this past weekend to the parents of students in Grades 2-7. These results will be used by the teacher to prepare for the individual and class needs of students for the 2010-2011 school year. If you have any questions about these results, please speak with your child’s teacher and/or Mrs. Polan, Guidance Counselor, at extension 649. Teachers will be available for end of year conferences, if needed, on Monday, June 21st from 8-12 noon and 1-3pm. Some faculty may not be available on Monday due to Diocesan seminars or course work that they have been enrolled in. Please email teachers for conference time – conferences may be held prior to that date on an individual basis or by phone. Thank you for your flexibility as there are many demands at this time of the school year.

As Always, for the children,
Mr. David DiPippa, Principal
