Our Mission Statement/Philosophy
Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is a dynamic learning environment rooted in Catholic faith and tradition. With Jesus Christ as our model and guide, we follow faithfully on a lifelong journey to grow and develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically and culturally.

We recognize your child as a creation of God made in His image with unique gifts and talents. Throughout the learning environment, educators incorporate Gospel values and foster a spirit of inquiry. We employ a variety of tools and techniques to challenge your child to achieve his or her full potential.

In collaboration with you, the parents, the child’s primary educators, we provide a safe, nurturing atmosphere, infused with faith, morals and Catholic principles. Together, we prepare your children to be a faithful Catholics and productive citizens in a global and technological society. We strive to teach as Jesus does --- with authority, compassion and love.

Through Religious education, we assist your child in coming to know Jesus in a personal way and in developing a loving relationship with Him. The outgrowth of this relationship is love, peace and hope within the individual student and the school community.

As a Catholic school, Saint Leo the Great provides a Religion program that blends with all aspects of life, family, community and study…school-wide and classroom daily prayer, daily classes in Religion, regular attendance at Mass in which students actively participate, sacramental preparation, additional opportunities to participate in the sacrament of Penance (Grades 2 through 8), a commitment to service projects for our brothers and sisters in need, and education in all disciplines in light of the Catholic faith.
