Sentence Writing Rules

1. Sentences must be at least 6 words long.  Try to use descriptive words in your writing.
2. Each sentence must start with a different word.
3. Underline the word study word you are using.
4. Two sentences must be questions.  Always check that you are using correct punctuation.
5. Sentences should be written on school tablet paper.  be sure to use a proper heading.  Name - date - Number.
6. You will receive a handwriting grade.  Please take your time to work neatly.
7. Parents, please review and sign your child's work.


Practice Test Rules

Please give your child a practice pre-test.  If your child spells any word incorrectly, please circle the word, and have your child write the word 5 times on the back of the paper.  Please be sure to sign the test.  Thank you for your help.


Monday - cut and sort words.  Choose one activity from the tic-tac-toe chart to complete in composition notebook.
Tuesday - sort words. Choose one activity from the tic-tac-toe chart to complete in composition notebook.
Wednesday - Fix sentences and rewrite on tablet paper.
Thursday - Practice test on tablet paper.
Friday - TEST
