Monday Oct. 27,
2008
Where are the birthdays? Where are the servers?
Too much information – need to remember that sports takes up a lot of time.
Need to remember to insert slide for Ryan’s sports.
Wednesday Oct. 22,
2008
Family fun night is Saturday, NOT Friday.
No today in history today?
Need to have different camera shots – boring to have all 3 of you on screen all the time.
Tuesday Oct. 21,
2008
What grade is the birthday girl?
Family fun night is Saturday, NOT Friday.
You need to include other items that are on the calendar for TODAY – Mad Science club and visit from Fire Department.
Incomplete ideas – what about Alfred Nobel? Is it his birthday?
“Overseas Chinese day” makes no sense. Need to find out more information.
Friday, Oct. 17, 2008
Wrong lunch – double check before you finalize!
Thurs. Oct. 16,
2008
Review slides to make sure your tenses are the same – Noah Webster encouraged, not encourages.
Review and update camera positions as part of the editing process.
Need to keep colors consistent – person to left should always have blue script, prayer person always white.
Wrong birthday
Good rehearsal!! Several issues were able to be fixed.
Great adlibbing on air.
Wed. Oct. 15, 2008
Basic school news needs to come first
Remember to edit your script (or at least re-read it out loud) to make sure sentences flow [for example: “For a prize we will be bringing a special prize…” doesn’t flow very well.
Tuesday Oct. 14,
2008
No lunch – it can be found on the St. Leo website.
Wrong information – there is not a faculty meeting tonight – there is a PTO meeting in the faculty room.
Sukkot information is incomplete – what religion celebrates sukkot? Next sentence is not well-written “Today begins nine-day festival.”
The ideas segment is not written the way you were told.
Making up a newsday doesn’t make sense – there is real news to be told.
Slide is William Penn – no text for William Penn. Where are slides for Eisenhower? Sukkot??
Friday Oct. 9,
2008
School birthdays and news comes before other famous birthdays.
Brett Favre no longer plays for the Green Bay Packers but for the NewYork Jets. Why did you choose to include this person’s birthday if you don’t even know that?
Misspelled quarterback.
Some of the back and forth makes no sense – Dani already said early dismissal many slides before. It doesn’t make sense to say it after the dance.
Once again, there are slides with font of 48 – the smallest needs to be 54. if it doesn’t fit on one slide, divide it into 2.
The information about the new sweater is incomplete – does not say middle school – and is not well written.
“And in honor of this we will decorate a cupcake each for 30 seconds” what does that mean – maybe “we will each decorate a cupcake in 30 seconds”?
Slides need to be in same order as accompanying script.
Thursday Oct. 8,
2008
School news needs to be in order by time of event and end with lunch.
Script is still too large – 60 is the largest – do not use 66.
You need to give the cameraman some work to do – change up who is on camera during different parts of the news.
Slides need to be in same order as script.
Wednesday Oct. 7,
2008
Need to edit text more carefully – not “one winners” but “one winner” ; not “bring you teddy bear to work” but “bring your teddy bear to work”; not “watch next weeks new” but “watch next week’s news”
Tuesday Oct. 6,
2008
Wrong Hispanic heritage month moment data.
Teleprompter operator needs to keep black screen/directions on long enough for everyone to read and follow the directions.
Monday Oct. 5,
2008
School events need to be first.
Factual errors – President Rutherford B. Hayes not Hayes Rutherford Birchard; not Robert Coddard but Robert Goddard.
Pictures did not match text.
Today is not Christopher Issing’s birthday.
Today is not St. Francis of

Sound wasn’t cued up properly for music
Thursday Sept. 25th
Factual error – first newspaper not 1960; supreme court justices are not “elected”; the Fudrucker fundraiser is not at 4:30, it is from 4:30 to 7:30.
Font size is still wrong – not 66, not 80 – it is required to be between 54 and 60.
Extremely boring for camera person – during the news, no focusing in was created.
Wednesday Sept. 24th
Script—
Lots of half-finished sentences and misspellings
Font needs to be 60 pt. not 72

Not enough time to finish

Tuesday Sept. 23rd
Script –

No servers typed in – added by Mrs. Craven
Script listed “an assembly” but the topic was not included

Miscommunication regarding slides to be added – it is the responsibility of the Mixing Board person to find and download slides. Need to find a better way to coordinate this.
